Custom Links
Hi just rolled out a new feature: Custom LinksPrivate Solvs
If you just go to Solvr (http://solvr.freshbrain.com) and create a new solv (that's how we call these discussions internally), you get a new link like this:
http://www.a.freshbrain.com/solvr/d/9cg4mrz3heTeam Solvs
If you want to work collaboratively, it is easier if you can create your own link name. Now that is possible. Just go to
http://www.a.freshbrain.com/solvr/d/MyCoolName
(replace "MyCoolName" with anything you like, as long as it does not contain a '/')
if there was no solv at that address yet, it will automatically be created.
You new solv will be empty and you can start filling it with "Add another entry".Website integration
Even better: You can set the top-problem to be solved while creating the solvr. Here is how that works:
http://www.a.freshbrain.com/solvr/d/MySecondExample?problem=I%20cannot%20remember%20cryptic%20URLs
The %20 are what the browser uses for "space" to make that a valid URL.
This feature makes it very easy to generate links to Solvr from a wiki, a bug tracker or a shopping site.
Every page, issue or product quickly has its own Solvr to discuss it.Technical information:
You are free to use Solvr as the discussion system for you blog, product or whatever as long as you display the full page.
Embedding in IFRAMEs or FRAMES is not allowed. We hope you enjoy this. You can give feedback on this blog - or simply by adding problems or ideas at
